Groups Weigh in on Draft Model State Privacy Law

Consumer Federation of America, Common Sense Media, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and Privacy Rights Clearinghouse sent comments to a committee of the Uniform Law Commissioners expressing serious concerns about a draft model state privacy law. The groups said that the draft as it is currently written would not benefit consumers or ensure adequate privacy protections and urged the committee to reconsider its approach.
