Consumer Groups Oppose Legislation Undermining FTC's Ability to Protect Consumers from Pyramid Schemes

In a letter to Representatives Marc Veasey and Richard Hudson, consumer groups including CFA urge the legislators to refrain from re-introducing the mis-named anti-consumer bill, the Anti Pyramid Promotional Scheme Act, in the current Congress. The bill would block the Federal Trade Commission’s ability to protect consumers from all but the most blatant pyramid schemes.
