CFA and Other Groups Tell House Committee to Go Back to the Drawing Board on Privacy Legislation

CFA and other consumer, privacy and civil liberties groups sent a letter to the House Energy and Commerce Committee Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce saying that a privacy bill drafted by staff was well-meaning but not meaningful and suggesting that they go back to the drawing board to provide a robust framework to protect individuals’ privacy.
