Advocates Support Expanded Remedies in FTC Impersonation Rule Proposal

CFA joined the comments of the Electronic Privacy Information Center in supporting the FTC’s proposed expansion of its government impersonation rule to all imposter scams. These comments specifically discuss the need for “means and instrumentalities” liability as a crucial tool for the FTC to target the enablers of common frauds and scams.
