Consumer Financial Education

Financial institutions should empower all, especially those from low- and moderate-income households, to build financial confidence through effective saving, debt reduction, and wealth-building strategies. America Saves, a campaign managed by the Consumer Federation of America, pairs the principles of behavioral economics with strategic messaging to motivate savers to take action and save successfully. Through its three core areas (America Saves, America Saves at Work, and Veteran Saves), this campaign produces resources for individuals and partners aimed around starting small and building the habit of saving to help great both short- and long-term goals.
