Virtual Currency Victory in Alaska Legislature

The Consumer Federation of America aided Alaska legislators in drafting and securing amendments to a money transmitter law. The amendment requires that virtual currency businesses are subject to the same standards and regulations as any other financial institution subject to the law - including with regard to consumer and investor protections.
