Statement of Courtney Griffin, Director of Consumer Product Safety for Consumer Federation of America before the Connecticut Joint Energy and Technology Committee in Support of SB 1352, An Act Promoting Energy Efficiency
Dear Members of the Connecticut Joint Energy and Technology Committee:
My name is Courtney Griffin, and I am the Director of Consumer Product Safety for the Consumer Federation of America (CFA). Founded in 1968, CFA is one of the nation’s largest consumer organizations working in the consumer interest through research, advocacy and education. CFA represents over 200 national, state and local groups. For more than 20 years, CFA has supported and promoted cost-effective energy and water efficiency policies and practices at the federal, state and local levels. I am submitting testimony on behalf of CFA in strong support of SB 1352, “An Act Promoting Energy Efficiency. ” This bill represents a crucial step towards a more sustainable and cost-effective future for Connecticut residents.
