Consumer Groups Call on CFPB Acting Director Mulvaney to Preserve Public Complaints Database

In a letter to the Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Mick Mulvaney, consumer groups are calling on Mulvaney to refrain from any further judgments on the future of the consumer complaint database, following remarks from the Acting Director that he is considering banning public access to the database. The public complaint database is an important consumer protection and education tool, and the groups, including CFA, urge Mulvaney to preserve it.
