CFA Testifies on State AI Legislation Model to Multistate Group of Lawmakers

In oral testimony, the Consumer Federation of America gave feedback to state lawmakers on three pieces of proposed AI legislation: one in Texas, one in Connecticut, and a multi-state framework for other state lawmakers to use.

CFA focused on the danger of overbroad exemptions and overbroad affirmative defenses, the need for enforcement resources and a private right of action, and the importance of  transparency.
