CFA Testifies Before Maryland Senate Finance Committee in Support of Fair Auto Insurance Pricing

Director of Financial Services Tom Feltner testified before the Maryland Senate Finance Committee urging a favorable report on S.B. 1028.  The bill, sponsored by Senator Pugh, which would prohibit the use of non-driving rating factors in rating auto insurance premiums.  The bill would prohibit the use of credit score, education, occupation and other non-driving rating factors that have been shown to increase the cost of auto insurance for lower-income good drivers in Maryland and across the country.
