CFA Joins Effort to Protect CA Lemon Law

CFA TC

CFA joined national and state colleagues in a letter to California’s state legislature urging it to protect California’s auto lemon law, largely considered the nation’s original and most powerful consumer protection legislation for car buyers. Manufacturers that are required to pay for their defective vehicles frequently attempt to weaken it, including by making it harder to find a lawyer that can take lemon law cases. This letter urges the legislature to reject any such attempts and maintain consumer safety as its top priority.
