CFA Joins Amicus Brief Supporting FTC CARS Rule

CFA TC

The FTC CARS Rule is being challenged by the National Auto Dealers Association in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, seeking to forestall the FTC’s efforts to bring honesty, transparency, and competition to the sale of cars. CFA joined consumer advocacy groups in an amicus brief authored by Public Citizen and filed in support of the Rule, highlighting widespread consumer abuses in the sale and financing of cars and the ways in which the Rule would address those harms and protect consumers.
