The letter emphasizes that the 2014 standards, in effect since 2019, have delivered substantial cost savings for consumers, improved fan performance, and reduced strain on the electric grid. Weakening the standards would increase household utility bills, exacerbate grid stress amid rising electricity demand, and waste past investments by U.S. manufacturers.
