CFA and AFR Provide Comments to House Financial Services Committee Regarding Pending Legislation
In a letter to members of the US House Financial Services Committee, CFA and American for Financial Reform express opposition to four bills being considered by the committee: HR 3555, HR 6021, HR 6177, and the “Expanding Investment in Small Businesses Act.” CFA and AFR also support four bills being considered: the “Enhancing Multi-Class Stock Disclosures” (Meeks), the “Market IPO Underwriting Cost Act” (Himes), the “Promoting Transparent Standards for Corporate Insiders Act”, and the “National Senior Investor Initiative Act of 2018” (Gottheimer). The letter includes specific comments for each bill, explaining the reasons CFA and AFR oppose or support each.
